Vincent J. Stark has practiced law exclusively in the area of family law for over 30 years. Vincent was a founding partner of Kamerlink, Stark, Powers & McNicholas, L.L.C. in 1998. In 2019, Vincent joined Davis Friedman as a partner. Vincent primarily represents clients in the State of Illinois, however, he has represented clients in need of his skills outside the State of Illinois.
Vincent concentrates his practice in contested family law matters, including civil unions and same sex marriages, child custody, parenting time, parentage, orders of protection, child support, college contribution, removal; complex financial situations, involving business interests and valuations, forensic accounting and distribution of assets and debts; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; contested adoptions and appeals.
Vincent is well known in the legal community as an experienced, skillful negotiator and accomplished trial attorney.

Vincent has been a featured speaker and moderator on areas pertaining to family law, including training medical professionals on preparation of examination pertaining to custody evaluations; and being retained as an expert in family law matters.
Authorships
Vincent has authored the first and second editions of the “Child Custody Chapter” for the Illinois Bar Association Law Handbook; the “New Legislation and Litigation Issues in Illinois Family Law” in the 2015 edition of Strategies for Family Law in Illinois; and as a past member of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council, Vincent was involved in the drafting of legislation for the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act.
