Michael A. Anderson focuses his practice in all aspects of family law. Michael brings a wealth of expertise and experience to Davis Friedman as a former U.S. Army Paratrooper and Sergeant for the Chicago Police Department.
His professionalism, demeanor and ambitiousness are traits Davis Friedman expects from all of its attorneys. Drawing on his experience in criminal law, Mr. Anderson has spent countless hours in the courtroom, which gives him an advantage when handling highly contested hearings and trials. He regularly counsels clients in a wide range of matters including negotiation and litigation of modification of child support, relocation, custody, allocation of parental responsibilities, property distribution and complex financial matters.
As a skilled negotiator, Michael targets his attention in reaching favorable settlements without having to go to trial. However, if negotiation attempts fail, Michael has the skills and ability to litigate tenaciously for his clients.
As a graduate of The John Marshall Law School, Michael made the Dean’s List multiple times and won the CALI award in Evidence. In addition, he worked in the Veterans Clinic for two years where he excelled in assisting veterans who appealed their disability benefits.
